Climbing Dyreco presents: "Balearic Masters Boulder 2012"

An international bouldering competition will be held in the grounds of the Park 'del Mar' in Palma de Mallorca on 16^th -17^th of June.

This open competition will be held on the standards of ISFC score, there will be four female  as well as four male categories.

Remember also that the association “Amiticia”, which arrange after school activities for people with disabilities, is part of the organization and there also will be different activities of fund raising.

Rules of the competition

The rules of the competition shall be governed by the scoring system of the ISFC and will be contain: qualifying round, semifinal, final and awards ceremony. (The organization reserves the right to modify any of these rules, according to the demands of time and programming).

 The team of the competition will consist of referees nationally like Miquel Riera. Also a team of route setters with extensive experience in competitions held ,, Longy & Jaime ,, ISFC route Setters ,,

  

Qualifying Round

The qualifying round will consist of 6 blocks for each category, there will be a  time (to be determined) to find out the movements of each block with unlimited attempts. The top 20 of each category will proceed to the next round. In the case that there are not sufficient registrations the participants will pass directly to the final of a maximum of 8 competitors.

Semifinals

The semifinals will be held in the form of "On sight" which consist of 5 blocks, the competitors will have 5 minutes for each block and the corresponding will have a rest,

To the final will go the best 8 competitors of the category. There will be a well-defined zone in which only the classified competitors and the certified staff of the organization have access.

Final

The final will be held individually and in the form of "On sight", it will consist of 4 blocks for each category, the finalists will have 5 minutes to see the blocks, may discuss the blocks between them, then return to the well-defined area.  At the moment of attempts they will have 4 minutes to climb each block. There will be a well-defined zone in which only the classified competitors and the certified staff of the organization have access.

The sports equipment that will be given away will depend on the rank and position, harnesses, backpacks, ropes etc. by Mammut and climbing shoes by Mad Rock.
By the support of S'horabaixa Agroturismo Mallorca  we will raffle a weekend for two people among all competitors of the Balearic Master on the day of the awards.

Time Schedule

Timetables, not entirely adjusted, are:

Saturday

From 9:00 am reception and registration of participants, may enroll in the categories until 1 hour before the start of testing each classification category.
10,30 am. to 2 pm. Qualifying.
  4,30 pm. to 9 pm. Qualification and semifinals.

Sunday

10 am. to 2 pm. Semifinals and finals.
4,30 pm. to 8 pm. Finals.

8 pm. to 9 pm.   Awards.

Registration  

Registration for the Master will be ensured through pre-registration via mail of the organization: dyrecoproteam@hotmail.com

It is recommended of  planning and programming reasons. For those which can not realize the pre-registration it is also possible to use the opportunity to register one hour before the start of the category in the registration tent of the Balearic Master in the Park 'del Mar' in Palma de Mallorca.
With the registration the organization will hand out a T-shirt, a snack and drink ticket. (Which can be redeemed at the bar of the Association Amiticia)
